Technotex is a popular event amongst the Indian textile community. The annual event, which offers the perfect business environment to network and generate new leads, marks the presence of several decision makers from the textile community, from across the world. Technotex is popular amongst visitors as it showcases the latest products, equipment, technology adaptations and upgradations in the textile sector. The 2016 edition of the trade fair saw participation of about 6,600 visitors from Taiwan, China, US, Switzerland, UK, France and Germany, amongst others.

In its third edition, Global Exhibition on Services (GES) is a global platform that facilitates trade in services, enhances strategic cooperation and strengthens multilateral relationships amongst the stakeholders. The event will be jointly organised by the Department of Commerce, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, along with the Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

The event is expected to see participation of about 500 exhibitors from about 60 countries. Showcased industries at the exhibition will include education, banking and financial services, facility management, healthcare, energy, IT, telecom and logistics. And, apart from providing opportunities to Indian service enterprisers to generate leads and network, the event will also organise several B2B meetings and seminars.

Canton Fair 2017

The Canton Fair is perhaps one of the largest of its kind in the world. This summer, the fair will celebrate its 121st edition. The event has been divided into three phases: April 15-19 (electronics and household appliances, lighting equipment, vehicles and spare parts, machinery, hardware and tools, building materials, etc.); April 23-27 (consumer goods, gifts, home decorations, etc.); and May 1-5 (textiles and garments, shoes, office supplies, cases and bags, health products, etc.). In 2016, the reported business turnover for the year, from the event, amounted to $55.97 billion. Nearly 24,553 exhibitors showed their wares across 60,250 booths and 185,704 overseas buyers participated in the fair in the year gone by.

The Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF) is considered to be the largest book fairs in Middle East and North Africa. This is a joint venture between the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage and the Frankfurt Book Fair. The fair besides displaying a wide collection of books is also considered as the hub for publishers, writers and those involved in the industry. The 2016 edition of ADIBF saw participation from 1,260 exhibitors and 600 authors.
