In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (d) of section 2 and section 3A of the Livestock Importation Act, 1898 (9 of 1898), the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Department of Animal Husbandry Dairying and Fisheries, dated the 16th October, 2014 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section-3, Sub-section (ii), vide S.O.2666(E), dated the 17th October, 2014, namely:-

In the said notification, in the Schedule, in paragraph (4), after the provision, the following provisions shall be inserted, namely:-

“Provided also that Livestock Products listed at serial numbers (xv) to (xxiv) and (xxv) to (xxxi), of para 1 shall be allowed to import into India through the airport or land port, as the case may be, located at Ludhiana, Jaipur, Amritsar, and Kanpur under the jurisdiction of Animal Quarantine and Certification Stations in New Delhi:

Provided also that the import of aquatic products, eggs and seeds of all aquatic animals including fish, crustaceans, molluscs, the import shall also be allowed through the sea port or airport located at Tuticorin under the jurisdiction of Animal Quarantine and Certification Station in Chennai:

Provided also that the Livestock Products listed at serial numbers (i) to (xxxi) shall be allowed to import through seaport or airports or landport of New Mangalore, Jaigaon and Petrapole as per the conditions provided for import of such livestock products in this notification and such import shall be looked after by the Regional Officer or Quarantine Officer at Bangalore and Kolkata.”
