L& T Construction won orders worth Rs.2416 cr

The power transmission and distribution segment of L&T has won orders worth Rs.1,120 crore

L&T Construction, a subsidiary of Indian multinational Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T), has won orders worth Rs.2,416 crores across its several business divisions in the month of June this year.
 
The building and factories division of L&T has bagged orders amounting to Rs.1,165 crores. This includes a contract from a major developer in Mumbai for a high-rise residential project, the company said in a statement.

The project’s scope of work includes civil and structural jobs for constructing two residential towers, each tower having three basements, seven podiums, 66 floors and other related buildings. The business also won an order from a leading client in Kolkata, for constructing of a mixed use development (MUD), it said.
 
The power transmission & distribution segment of L&T Construction has won orders worth Rs.1,120 crores in the local and international markets. In international market, the business has bagged an important engineering, procurement and construction order from a leading client in the Middle East. The scope of work involves development of a medium voltage overhead line that will boost the reliability of the prevailing network.

In the domestic market, the company received orders from Paschimanchal Vidyut Vitaran Nigam Limited (PVVNL) in Uttar Pradesh. The first order includes the construction of 33 kV substations and related lines in Ghaziabad, which comes under the Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS). The other order includes rural electrification under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana scheme (DDUGJY), for feeder separation jobs in Meerut.
 
L&T’s business division for smart world and communication has got contracts worth Rs.131 crore that involves a new order from RajComp Info Services Ltd, an undertaking of government of Rajasthan, for setting up and commissioning command and control centres in the cities of Bharatpur, Bikaner and Jodhpur, under the Surveillance and Incident Response Project.
