MJ Akbar promotes India-UAE relations at UAE Ambassadors Forum

India and UAE to increase mutual trade by 60% by June 2017

The Dollar Business Bureau In a recent meeting, the Indian Prime Minister and Prince Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed issues related to matters such as security, defence, and energy. Confirming the joint statement made by India and UAE, the bilateral engagements will be concluded by June 2017. Also, a 60% increase in mutual trade between the two countries has been targeted by June 2017. In a meeting held on 25 Feb 2017, the Indian PM and the Prince of Abu Dhabi decided to improvise mutual trade. Air India Express starts Delhi-Dubai direct flight

PTI Air India Express has started direct services from the national capital to the Gulf, with the first flight to Dubai taking off on Monday. The airline would begin direct Delhi-Abu Dhabi flight from Monday. The entry of Air India's international budget arm into Delhi is likely to intensify competition in the lucrative Gulf routes from the national capital since other Indian carriers have recently increased their frequencies. SpiceJet, IndiGo and Jet Airways have flights on Gulf routes. Air India Express will operate the two direct flights to Dubai and Abu Dhabi daily. Mahindra mulls to set up operations in UAE

Source: PTI   Mahindra Aerospace aims to set up operations in the UAE in the near future, Chairman of the company S P Shukla has said. Speaking at the Global Aerospace Summit in Abu Dhabi, Shukla said Mahindra is currently the only Indian company that produces aircraft and sell them in 30 countries including in the US and in parts of Africa and Asia. He said Mahindra Aerospace aims to set up operations in Abu Dhabi in the near future. Mahindra Aerospace currently produces the Airvan 8, a rugged and versatile utility aircraft in its class.
