New trade pact between India and Bhutan begins from July 29

The Dollar Business Bureau A new trade agreement between India and Bhutan has come into force from July 29. This was signed between the two countries on November 12, 2016. The move will further strengthen the bilateral trade ties between India and Bhutan an official communique read. ‘The agreement provides for a free trade regime between the countries and it also gives duty free transit of Bhutanese goods for trade with third countries,’ the Indian commerce ministry said in a statement. The bilateral trade relations are governed by this agreement. India, Pakistan to become full members in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO)

The Dollar Business Bureau India and Pakistan's admission as full members to the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) will be formalised at the political and security grouping's summit in Kazakhstan next week, China announced today, while hoping that they would "strictly follow" its charter. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying hoped that the admission of India and Pakistan as full members would help improve their bilateral relations. Trump keen on taking forward India-US relations

The Dollar Business Bureau   US President Donald Trump’s views of Indo-US relationship is very positive and is keen to take the bilateral relationship forward, Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar said, after he met the senior cabinet officials of the US government.  Speaking with the Indian reporters on the margins of the India-US Strategic and Commercial Dialogue, which was started during the ex-President Barack Obama-led administration, Jaishankar said: "Optimistic" about the continuation of the upward trajectory of the bilateral relationship. Adani's mine project: India conveys disappointment to Australia

Source: PTI India has conveyed its disappointment to Australia over the derailing of mining giant Adani's controversial $16.5 billion project in Queensland on issues relating to environment. Indian High Commissioner Navdeep Suri on Tuesday said the matter was discussed with Australian Trade Minister Andrew Robb during a trade and investment meeting held recently. “We did speak about the Adani Carmichael project in Queensland and I shared our disappointment over recent developments,” Suri said.
