Dassault Aviation hopes to sell additional Rafale jets to India

The Dollar Business Bureau French aircraft manufacturer Dassault Aviation SA is hoping to begin talks with India by this year’s end for additional salesof Rafale fighter aircrafts, before full-fledge negotiations begin next year, said Eric Trappier, Chief Executive Officer, Dassault Aviation on Sunday. Dassault Aviation was awaiting further information on its fighter planes deal from Canada, he said. Last week, Canada has said that it was reviewing its plans to purchase military equipment from the US planemaker - Boeing Company after it filed a trade complaint claiming that Canadian multinational Bombardier Inc had dumped aircrafts into the American market. China's first large passenger plane makes maiden flight

PTI China's first large homemade passenger jet, touted as a competitor to Boeing and Airbus, made its maiden flight today, heralding the Communist giant's entry into the highly-competitive global aviation sector. The 158-seater C919 aircraft took to the skies from Shanghai Pudong International Airport in eastern China and made the country the fourth jumbo jet producer after the US, Europe and Russia, the state media reported. The 80-minute flight was greeted with applause by more than 1,000 spectators on the tarmac, including Chinese Vice Premier Ma Kai and Shanghai Party chief Han Zheng. Boeing launches Engineering and Technology Centre in Bengaluru

The Dollar Business Bureau Boeing, a leading player in the global aerospace industry, launched the Boeing India Engineering & Technology Centre in Bengaluru on 24-01-2017. The company mentioned that the new undertaking shall boost local employment and support many of its operations such as information technology and data analytics, engineering, research and technology. SpiceJet strikes Rs. 1.5 lakh cr deal with Boeing for 205 planes

PTI In one of the biggest deals in the Indian aviation sector, SpiceJet will purchase up to 205 new aircrafts from Boeing with the order valued at Rs.1,50,000 crore. With the earlier order for 55 planes and additional 100 new 737-8 MAX aircrafts, the no-frills carrier now has firmed up order for a total of 155 planes, besides purchase rights for 50 B737-8 MAX and wide body aircraft. Announcing the deal in New Delhi on Friday, SpiceJet Chairman and Managing Director Ajay Singh said the total order of 205 aircraft is valued at Rs.1,50,000 crore ($22 billion). “This is one of the largest deals in Indian aviation and the largest for SpiceJet,” Singh said. SpiceJet likely to place order for new aircrafts this fiscal

The Dollar Business Bureau  Optimistic about the growth prospects, low-cost airline SpiceJet said on Friday that it expects to conclude negotiations and put orders for new aircrafts in the current fiscal year ending in March.  The budget carrier, which has been in profit for seven quarters in a row after battling financial instability, is expected to be looking for about 100 aircrafts.  “For quite some time, the discussions are going on. Iran signs $16.6 bn deal with Boeing to buy 80 planes

The Dollar Business Bureau Iran on Monday said it has finalised a deal of $16.8 billion with Boeing to buy 80 passenger planes, which is made possible by the landmark nuclear deal last year. According to the state-run news agency IRNA, 50 Boeing 737s and 30 Boeing 777s aircrafts would be delivered in next 10 years. This is the biggest deal to be signed by an American firm with Iran since the 1979 revolution and takeover of the US Embassy.
