Definitive ADD on Chinese imports of textured glass; ADD could affect margins, solar panel mfr

Sheela Mamidenna  The Directorate General of Anti-Dumping Duty imposed an anti-dumping duty(ADD) on the textured toughened (tempered) glass, imported from China PR, with a minimum of 90.5% transmission having a thickness not exceeding 4.2 mm (including tolerance of 0.2mm). This was relayed by the Customs via notification no- 38/2017- Customs (ADD) dated August 18, 2017. The textured toughened glass is used as a component in solar photovoltaic panels and in solar thermal applications. Chinas exports up 8.7%, imports 14.8% in May

The Dollar Business Bureau Belying the expectations of analysts, China's exports grew 8.7% in May compared to the previous year, while imports rose 14.8%, according to an official data. With this, the country was left with a trade surplus of about $40.81 billion for May, the Chinese government agency General Administration of Customs of China on Thursday said. Exports in the month of May from the largest exporter of the world were expected to grow at 7%, easing a little from 8% growth in April, according to the analysts polled by Reuters. Government imposes anti-dumping duty on seamless tubes and pipes from China

Chinas November trade grows, signals industrial recovery

The Dollar Business Bureau Rebar export offers of China have slightly declined this week after the prices kept going up for past five weeks. Chinese rebar export offers are presently hovering in the price range of $395-400 per MT, free on board (FoB) main port, fall of $6 per MT on week-on-week basis.
