China objects to Indias anti-dumping on steel

The Dollar Business Bureau China has expressed concerns over India launching an anti-dumping investigation against Chinese steel products.  The Chinese Ministry of Commerce said it seeks a fair and transparent investigation in accordance with WTO rules. The state-run Xinhua news agency, citing the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, said China is highly concerned by Indian trade remedy measures against Chinese steel products. Chinese Imports in India grew 6 times in a decade

The Dollar Business Bureau China’s import to India has jumped six folds from $10.87 billion in 2005-06 to $61.71 billion in 2015-16. In a written reply to Rajya Sabha, Nirmala Sitharaman said that the increasing imports can be mainly attributed to the fact that China is able to provide manufactured items to India at competitive prices due to many reasons. She said that imports from China to India increased to $61.71 billion in 2015-16 from $10.87 billion in 2005-06. The imports from China in 2014-15 were $60.4 billion and during 2013-14 were $51 billion. Government to investigate dumping of Chinese tyres

The Dollar Business Bureau The government of India has initiated an investigation into the dumping of radial tyres into the country from China. The investigation may result in imposing anti-dumping duties on these tyres to help protect the domestic market. These tyres are used in buses, lorries and trucks. The Automotive Tyre Manufacturing association has filed an application on behalf of Apollo Tyres Ltd, Ceat Ltd and JK Tyres limited for initiating an investigation against anti-dumping and also impose duties on these imports. “Sufficient prima facie evidence” of dumping these tyres from China has been found by the Directorate General of Anti-Dumping and Allied Duties (DGAD).
