CBEC introduces online generation of rotation numbers for shipping lines/agents

The Dollar Business Bureau The Customs and Excise Department has made easy for shipping lines or agents by introducing the online generation of rotation numbers for vessels. Until now the process followed was a cumbersome one for both the Shipping Line(SL) or the Shipping Agent(SA). According to the process, the allotment of 'Rotation Number' for a vessel that calls on a port, the concerned Shipping Line or Shipping Agent (SL/SA) must file an application with the designated section in the Custom House, along with the desired particulars in the prescribed format. CBEC notifies to set up CCFC for Land Customs Stations, ICDs

The Dollar Business Bureau For expeditious clearance and identifying and resolving bottlenecks of imported and export goods, the Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC)via circular no.-44/2016-CUSTOMS Dated 22nd September, 2016  has notified to set up Customs Clearance Facilitation Committee (CCFC) for Land Customs Stations and Inland Container Depots (ICDs) at Amritsar, Patna, Kolkata and Shillong.  “With a view to have similar administrative arrangements for facilitation of trade in the Land Customs Stations, CCFCs shall be set up in the Commissionerates of Amritsar; Kolkata, Patna, and Shillong, having jurisdiction over the various Land Customs Stations,” the CBEC said in a notification released on Thursday.  “The CCFCs shall also be set up in the Commissionerates having jurisdiction over the ICDs,” it added.  The notification stated that the ...

J K Tyres begins export through New Mangalore Port

The Dollar Business Bureau The Mysore based tyre manufacturer and exporter J K Tyres witnessed a landmark achievement due to an aggressive business promotion drive initiated by New Mangalore port administration, as the company commenced exports of tyres through new port. “After protracted business initiatives and liasoning with the top management of J K Tyres, the port was successful in convincing the company to commence its operation and commit their exports through NMPT,” the Port Trust said in a press release.  The first consignment of trial export of 40’ high cube container was shipped from Mangalore.
