IndiaSoft 2017: connecting Indian IT with global buyers

Commerce Ministry unveils SEZ India mobile app

The Dollar Business Bureau Now people will be able to fetch detailed information about the country’s special economic zones with the help of the “SEZ India” app that has been launched by the Commerce Ministry. The app has been developed by the SEZ Division, Department of Commerce under its broader e-governance initiative called the SEZ online System. The app will pave way for developers and units to file all their transactions digitally through the system and track the status as well. “The app would help the SEZ units and developers to find information easily and track their transactions on SEZ Online System,” the ministry said in a statement. India, Jordan to promote co-operation in IT

Rs 1 lakh crore to be spent on urban development over five years

 The Dollar Business Bureau The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Wednesday, gave its approval for the Smart Cities Mission and the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation of 500 cities (AMRUT). Individual outlays of Rs 48,000 crore and Rs 50,000 crore have been approved for spending under the two missions for the development of ‘smart cities’. Besides this, the Union Cabinet also gave its approval for the Central Government to spend over Rs 1 lakh crore on urban development over the next five years, under two new urban missions.
