Need to enhance investment with Russian Far East to achieve $30 bn trade: Swaraj

The Dollar Business Bureau  External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said on Tuesday that there is a need to enhance trade, investment and commerce with the extreme eastern parts of Russia or Russian Far East in order to achieve the $30 billion target, set for bilateral trade between the two countries, by 2025.  “The Russian Far East is one of the richest regions in the world and India is among the fastest growing large economies of the world. The Dollar Business Bureau Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for Kazakhstan on Thursday to attend the two-day summit of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO). Iran signs up Gazprom for developing ONGC discovered Farzad B gasfield

The Dollar Business Bureau In an apparent rebuff to the Indian government for cutting down oil imports from its country, Iran has decided to sign a pact with Russia’s Gazprom for developing the ONGC discovered Farzad B gas field. The Farzad B Iranian natural gas field was discovered by ONGC in 2012. Commencing production in 2013, the total in-place reserves of the gas field are around, 21.7 trillion cubic feet of which around 60% is recoverable while production is slated to be around 1.1 billion cubic feet/day. Apparel exports up 31.7% in Apr, on RoSL Scheme support

The Dollar Business Bureau The apparel exports from India recorded a momentous rise of 31.7% in April this year as compared to same month a year ago. In a statement to the media Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) said “India’s apparel exports registered momentous growth of 31.7% in April 2017 compared to same period last year.” According to the data, the apparel sector has been witnessing a double-digit growth, after the introduction of disbursement of RoSL (Rebate of State Levies) scheme. During March-April, this year, the garment exporters were able to enhance their production capacity by about 30% for achieving such growth and employed around 5% more workers during this same period, the statement said.
