The Dollar Business Bureau With a view to bringing down logistics cost and pollution levels, the Government has decided to bring a policy for promoting the use of alternative fuel, Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari said on Thursday, while adding that the logistics cost is quite high in India when compared to China and European countries. “We are going to bring in a policy to promote use of alternative fuel which is indigenous and pollution free as it will help in saving lot of time, bring down logistics cost by 4-6% which is currently about 14-18% unlike in China where it is 10-12% and in European countries where it is 12-14%,” Gadkari said, while inaugurating an event organized by ASSOCHAM in New Delhi. Alivira to acquire 60% stake in Karizoo Group

The Dollar Business Bureau SeQuent Scientific Ltd on Monday announced that its subsidiary Alivira Animal Health Ltd is planning to acquire 60 percent stake in Spain’s Karizoo Group. The company, however, didn’t disclose the transaction amount. “Alivira Animal Health Ltd would buy 60 percent share in the family-owned Vila Vina Particpacions (VVP), which owns Karizoo Spain, Covivet Spain, Phytosolutions Spain, and Karizoo Mexico,” SeQuent said in a statement.  The remaining 40 percent stake will continue to be held by its existing promoters. The acquisition will be done through Alivira Ireland, a fully-owned arm of the company. SAARC Motor Vehicle Agreement to ease cross border trade

The Dollar Business Bureau According to an official release from Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, four countries belonging to South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) on Thursday finalized an agreement that would facilitate their cross-border trade. India, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal, in a meeting from between February 2-3, 2015, at Raichak near Kolkata, discussed Motor Vehicle Agreement (MAV), under which the countries agreed for a seamless transit of passenger and cargo vehicles between their countries and draw up plans for its speedy implementation.
