Govt to regulate cotton seed prices: Agri Min

Source: PTI Government will keep regulating prices of cotton seed and will not allow companies like the US biotechnology major Monsanto to exploit farmers, Indian Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh said on Monday. The minister asserted that the government would not allow "monopoly by seed and pharmaceutical companies" and regulate prices of seeds and medicines, if required. The central government in December had issued an order to control cotton seed prices including trait or royalty value, effective from 2016-17 crop year (July-June). The newly –developed five-level concourse is located to west of Terminal 1 and is between the two runways at the airport, covering a floor area of 105,000 sq. mt. It has ceiling heights similar to those of Terminal 1 and has 20 aircraft parking stands, 19 of which served by bridges, including two Code F (A380) stands. FM sees FY16 GDP growth at 7.6%

India-US to ink MoU for LIGO project

The Dollar Business Bureau India and the United States will sign an MoU to build a state-of-the-art Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory (LIGO) project.The agreement, between the US’s National Science Foundation (NSF) and India's Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) and Department of Science and Technology (DST), will be inked during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the USA on March 31 and April 1. As part of the agreement, the scientists of NSF, DAE and DST will form a Joint Oversight Group (JOG) for better coordination of the project.
