Exportable items on free of cost basis by status holders, revised by DGFT

The Dollar Business Bureau  The Central government has amended Chapter 3 of FTP 2015-2020. In notification no: 23/2015-2020, dated August 23, the Directorate General of Foreign Trade has said that prior to the notification, status holders were entitled to export freely exportable items on free of cost basis for export promotion subject to an annual limit of Rs. 10 lakh or 2% of average annual export realisation during preceding three licensing years, whichever is lower.  With the amendment in para 3.24 (j) of Chapter 3 of FTP 2015-2020, status holders shall be entitled to export freely exportable items on free of cost basis for export promotion subject to an annual limit of Rupees one Crore or 2% of average annual export realization ...

Teaotia releases MIS report on export promotion schemes

The Dollar Business Bureau  As a part of evaluation and monitoring of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2015-20, Commerce Secretary Rita Teaotia on Thursday released the “MIS Report on Export promotion Schemes 2017” of the Statistics Division of Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT). The Report was released by Teaotia in the presence of DGFT and other senior officials of the Department of Commerce, on the occasion of the 11th ‘Statistics Day’ celebration to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Father of Indian Statistics - Professor Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis. “The Report is an initiative taken by Statistics Division of DGFT as part of the monitoring and evaluation of the Foreign Trade Policy (2015-20),” said an official statement. Market development schemes set to promote MSME sector exports

The Dollar Business Bureau The Union Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise, on Thursday, said that the government was implementing various schemes for the market development aimed at promoting exports of MSME products. Kalraj Mishra, the Minister of State, MSME, said his ministry is implementing various export promotion schemes which include International Cooperation Scheme (ICS), Marketing Development Assistance Scheme (MDAS), among others. Under the ICS, the financial assistance will be given to the enterprises, organizations, associated with MSMEs on a re-imbursement basis. Through this scheme, the ministry encourages deputation of domestic MSME business delegations to other countries for exploring new areas of MSMEs.
