Boeing launches Engineering and Technology Centre in Bengaluru

The Dollar Business Bureau Boeing, a leading player in the global aerospace industry, launched the Boeing India Engineering & Technology Centre in Bengaluru on 24-01-2017. The company mentioned that the new undertaking shall boost local employment and support many of its operations such as information technology and data analytics, engineering, research and technology. The precise employment projections and investment figures haven't been disclosed. Singapore secures 17 M&A deals in India

The Dollar Business Bureau Indian and Singaporean companies have signed as many as 17 merger and acquisition (M&A) agreements with a total investment of $940 million in the first half of this year. The companies from the two nations have signed 17 deals. “Almost all of them were transactions where the acquirer is from Singapore and the target from India,” said Srividya Gopalakrishnan, Managing Director, Duff & Phelps. Among the signed deals were Government Investment Corporation’s (GIC) acquisition of stakes in Bandhan Bank, Greenko Energy and Viviana Mall as well as Singapore Technologies Telemedia’s acquisition of stakes in Tata Communications Data Centre business. Govt to launch Intellectual Property Rights policy within two months

The Dollar Business Bureau In a move to address foreign investors’ concern and attract funding for innovation, the government on Monday said that it will come up with a completely new Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) policy within the next couple of months. “We have constituted a taskforce to work on the IPR regimes. They have given their recommendations. India, in the next two months, will be coming up with a completely new and one of the finest IPR policies in the world,” Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP) Secretary Amitabh Kant said at the “Indo-German Business Roundtable” conference on Monday.
