Mercedes-Benz to bring in BS VI emission models to India in 2018

The Dollar Business Bureau Mercedes Benz is planning to bring in BS VI emission compliant models into India in 2018. A press release to the media said that the company is also willing to forge partnership with oil firms for higher grade oil needed for these models. The car maker has already sought help from various ministries, including Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, which has asked them to get in touch with the oil and gas firms. India, UK to sign an MoU in transport sector

Malaysia's CIDB to invest Rs.10,000 cr in Telangana

The Dollar Business Bureau Government of Malaysia's Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) has shown interest to invest Rs.10,000 crore in the infrastructure projects in the state of Telangana. Minister for Industries K T Rama Rao has met Abdul Latif Hitam, the CEO of CIDB in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Friday. He discussed the opportunities in Telangana infrastructure sector during his three-day tour to attract investments into the state.  The CIDB, a statutory body under Malaysia’s Ministry of Works, promotes and facilitates the exports of Malaysian construction services. Govt okays Rs.5,965 cr road projects in three states

The Dollar Business Bureau The government on Wednesday okayed three highways projects each in Maharashtra, Odisha and Punjab with a total implementation cost of Rs.5,965 crore. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday chaired the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) meeting and approved the widening work of Angul-Sambalpur section of NH-42 (New NH-55) in Odisha, Aurangabad-Telwadi section of NH 211 in Maharashtra, and Phagwara-Rupnagar section of NH-344A in Punjab. "The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved the development of four laning of Aurangabad-Telwadi Section of NH-211 in Maharashtra. Govt to take up Rs.1.5 lakh-cr projects in Bihar

The Dollar Business Bureau Road Transport and Highway Minister Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday said the government would take up highways project worth Rs.1.5 lakh crore in Bihar. The Minister underscored that the government is committed to the package announced by Prime Minister Modi during the assembly polls in Bihar last year. “In our five years regime, we will do work worth Rs.1.5 lakh crore in Bihar. Whatever package the prime minister declared, that will be done,” Gadkari said. The total projects approved in Bihar by the Centre presently stand at Rs 60,000 crores.
