Govt imposes ADD on imports of glassware from China, Indonesia

The Dollar Business Bureau In order to safeguard the domestic industry from cheap imports, the Government has imposed anti-dumping duty on the imports of glassware from China and Indonesia. “The Central Government, after considering the final findings of the designated authority, hereby imposes definitive anti-dumping duty on the subject goods,” the Ministry of Finance said in a notification (No.22/2018-Customs ADD) on Wednesday. “The anti-dumping duty imposed under this notification shall be effective for a period of five years (unless revoked, superseded or amended earlier) from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette and shall be paid in Indian currency,” the notification said. Indonesia and Freeport reach an agreement on new mining permit

The Dollar Business Bureau Indonesia and the American mining company Freeport-McMoRan Inc on Tuesday came to an agreement to allow the miner to operate its Grasberg gold and copper mine. However, the time period and divestment value of 51% in the mine are yet to be sorted out. Freeport-McMoRan Inc, the largest publicly-traded copper company in the world, can apply for an instant permit extension for 10 years for mining at the Grasberg after 2021, said Ignasius Jonan, Indonesian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources. US-based tech group urges Trump to overcome digital trade barriers

Hyderabad RCEP meet provides a push to negotiations: Teaotia

Rising global costs of potash could push India to sign costly imports in 2017
