After ban on trade of cattle for slaughter, Ministry to announce Rs 4000 cr package for the leather industry

Sheela Mamidenna  With the Central government announcing curbs on cattle slaughter on May 26, the leather exports industry seems to be bracing itself for a rapid downward spiral. India, Italy discuss ways to boost trade, economic ties

The Dollar Business Bureau  India and Italy on Friday conducted talks to find ways to boost trade and economic relations by enabling discussions and enhancing collaboration on a range of issues of joint interest. The issues related to trade were discussed during the 19th session of India-Italy Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation (JCEC), which was held in Rome on May 11-12. Global wine production to fall significantly due to climatic events

The Dollar Business Bureau Global wine production this year is slated to decline to its lowest level in two decades due to various climatic events such as El Nino. According to The International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV), global wine production is projected to fall by 5% because of climatic events, resulting in sharp decline in production in most of the southern hemisphere, particularly Chile and Argentina.
