SpiceJet likely to place order for new aircrafts this fiscal

The Dollar Business Bureau  Optimistic about the growth prospects, low-cost airline SpiceJet said on Friday that it expects to conclude negotiations and put orders for new aircrafts in the current fiscal year ending in March.  The budget carrier, which has been in profit for seven quarters in a row after battling financial instability, is expected to be looking for about 100 aircrafts.  “For quite some time, the discussions are going on. Vistara to operate 530 flights per week by year end

PTI  Domestic full service carrier Vistara today said it plans to operate 530 flights per week by year end with the induction of its 13th aircraft, which is expected to be delivered to the airline next month.The city-based airline, Vistara, in which Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines own 51 per cent and 49 per cent stake, respectively, currently operates 430 weekly flights to 17 destinations with a fleet of 12 Airbus A320 planes."We have inducted the 12th aircraft in the fleet last week, and the 13th aircraft will be delivered to us in the third week of October. 'India's major airports to face capacity crisis'

The Dollar Business Bureau Increasing air traffic with growing number of travelers and low-cost airlines is expected to trigger capacity crisis at all major airports across the country by 2020 and several cities will need alternative space to park and fly, experts claim. “The next five years, 2015-20, are going to be really crucial.  We are going to see capacity crisis coming at the airports.
