Indias bauxite production is likely to reach to 49 MT by 2021: BMI report

The Dollar Business Bureau Bauxite production in India is likely to increase to 49.4 million tonnes by 2021 from 22.08 million tonnes in 2016, according to a report.   The production of bauxite in the country is estimated to be 26.1 million tonnes in 2017, an increase of 18 compared to last year 2016, the report by BMI Research said. Odisha sets a target to reach Rs.1 lakh cr exports by 2025

The Dollar Business Bureau The state government of Odisha, which is working on a new state export policy, has set a target of reaching Rs.1 lakh crore of exports by the year 2025. “Odisha has set a target of achieving an export turnover of Rs.1 lakh crore by 2025,” said L N Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Department on Thursday. Odisha approves Rs.3,000 cr worth of investment proposals

Pradhan asks banks to increase credit under Mudra Scheme

PTI Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today urged banks to scale up disbursement of small loans under MUDRA scheme to the poor, youth and women entrepreneurs in neglected areas of Odisha. While reviewing the progress of implementation of MUDRA scheme in the state, Pradhan lamented the dismal performance of public sector banks (PSBs), regional rural banks (RRBs) and private banks in disbursing small loans in comparison to micro-finance institutions (MFIs) and NBFCs. Pradhan also set a target for banks to raise the flow of credit to poor entrepreneurs from the present 35 per cent to at least 45 per cent in 2016-17.
