India imposes anti-dumping duty on Iran, Qatar and China for chemical dumping

The Dollar Business Bureau India has imposed anti-dumping duty ranging between $23.78 to $300.22 on the imports of  Linear Alkyl Benzene (LAB) from China, Qatar and Iran. LAB is majorly used in the preparation of various detergents. A notice to the effect was issued by the DGAD  via Customs notification no.12/2017-CUSTOMS dated April 11, 2017, to protect the domestic players from the cheap dumping of the shipments. Two Indian companies, Nirma Ltd and Tamilnadu Petroproducts had jointly filed an application on 7th December, 2015 to the DGAD to investigate the cheap dumping of the chemical by various companies of Qatar, China and Iran. Reliance to sell its entire share in GAPCO to Total

The Dollar Business Bureau Reliance Industries Ltd’s (RIL) indirectly fully-owned arm, Reliance Exploration & Production DMCC (REPDMCC), has signed an agreement to sell its entire interest of 76 percent in the Mauritius-incorporated GAPCO to Total Marketing and Services. REPDMCC has signed agreement with Total on May 30, 2016 for the sale of its entire 76 percent interest held by it in the GAPCO (Gulf Africa Petroleum Corporation), RIL said in a BSE filing on Tuesday. The proposed deal is subjected to approvals from regulatory bodies and other conditions that are applicable for such transactions, it added. Nippon to invest $184 mn to increase stake in Reliance Capital

The Dollar Business Bureau Reliance Capital Ltd. on Tuesday announced that it has signed an agreement with Nippon Life Insurance (NLI), a Japan-based Fortune 500 company, to increase the latter’s stake from 35% to 49% in Reliance Capital Asset Management (RCAM). Reliance Defence inks pact with UAE firm for naval ship manufacturing

The Dollar Business Bureau Reliance Defence Limited (RDL), a subsidiary of Reliance Infrastructure Limited, has signed an agreement with Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB) for the setting up of a strategic partnership for the construction of naval ships to cater to the demands of the Gulf Cooperation Council over the next 10 years. “Under this MoU, RDL and ADSB are investigating the opportunity to set up a strategic partnership for the construction of naval ships, including frigates, destroyers and other specialised vessels to address the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) over the next 10 years. “The agreement could also see ADSB delivering maintenance repair, overhaul and refit services to the vessels, in line with regioan requirements," the Anil Ambani-led firm said in ...
