Telangana plans to double IT exports in 5 years

Oracle to invest $400 million in India

The Dollar Business Bureau Global software firm Oracle announced $400 million investment in India for setting up a technology hub in Bengaluru. The IT major also plans to open nine incubation centers to mentor startups in the country. Ahead of unveiling Oracle CloudWorld Mumbai, the company on Wednesday announced the launch of its new service Oracle Cloud at Customer to offer easy transitioning of business critical applications to cloud. Stand Up India, to empower SCs, STs & women

The Dollar Business Bureau Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the ‘Stand Up India’ initiative on Tuesday in Noida to encourage entrepreneurship among women, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities, by facilitating loans for them ranging from Rs.10 lakh to Rs.1 crore. Under the initiative, the target is to create 2.5 lakh entrepreneurs all over the country, in which, 1.25 lakh branches of banks will provide loans of up to Rs.1 crore to the SC & ST communities and women. Each bank branch will have to give two loans for setting up a new enterprise, without any collateral. Govt launches a portal and mobile app for Start-ups

The Dollar Business Bureau Following its earlier commitments to catalyse a conducive environment for the startup companies in India, the government on Thursday launched Startup India portal and Mobile app, in line with the Startup India Action Plan put forth by Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier this year. Modi had officially unveiled the Startup India programme on January 16 this year and had said he would soon introduce a Startup India Action Plan, envisaged to encourage innovative startups.
