India will need 70 lakh project managers in next 10 yrs: Report

The Dollar Business Bureau  India would be the world’s fastest growing country for project management related employment and this profession is expected to outperform overall global job growth in the coming decade, generating millions of new jobs in India, with highly-competitive pay, a report revealed.  “India will require 70 lakh new project managers in next 10 years. It will emerge as the fastest growing country in the world for project management-oriented employment,” a report on Project Management Job Growth and Talent Gap 2017-2027 by Project Management Institute (PMI) said. WIPO and DIPP sign agreement to set up innovation centres in India

For entrepreneurs and innovators in developing nations like India, these TISCs facilitate access to locally based technology knowledge banks and other ancillary services, which help them create, manage and protect their intellectual property rights (IPR). Some of the services offered by TISCs include database search training, access to a repository of patent/non-patent resources and IP-related publications, retrieval of technology information, and provision of basic information on laws, management, and technology commercialisation. IKEA seeks 450 acres at Kandla port cluster

The Dollar Business Bureau IKEA the Swedish furniture maker has expressed interest in India’s burgeoning infrastructural growth. The company has shown interest in a planned cluster at Kandla Port and wants to be allotted 450 acres in it. This was revealed to the media by Nitin Gadkari, Minister for Road Transport and Highways and Shipping. Speaking at the launch of a report by TCI-IIM Calcutta on freight transportation by road in India, the Minister said that the company has planned clusters for furniture production at the Kandla port and seeks 450 acres of land near the port. Oracle to invest $400 million in India

The IT major also plans to open nine incubation centers to mentor startups in the country.
