India's dairy products export flat at 30k in 2016

Source: PTI  India's dairy products (non-fat dry milk) exports are projected to remain flat at 30,000 tonnes next year on expectations of high global supplies and low prices, according to a latest USDA report. The country's milk output may increase by 4.8% to 154 million tonnes assuming a normal monsoon in 2016, while domestic consumption of milk is forecast to rise by 5% to 62.75 million tonnes in the same period, the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) said. “Overall dairy exports (from India) are minimal due to high domestic consumption. India likely to be the leading producer of Cotton in 2015-16: USDA

By accounting for 26.5% of total production, India is expected to be the leading producer of cotton during 2015-16, the report added. Rise in consumption, weak global demand hit Indias coffee exports

The Dollar Business Bureau Increasing domestic consumption and weak demand in the European markets have led to a continuous fall in India’s coffee exports. The value of coffee exported by India in April 2015 was $77.5 million, about 25% lower than that recorded a month ago, as per data issued by the Ministry of Commerce.
