Tata Motors launches two new commercial vehicles in Indonesia

Tata Motors has launched Tata Xenon XT D-Cab 4x4 pick-up and Tata Ultra 1012 light truck.

Tata Motors Ltd, an Indian multinational in automotive manufacturing, said on Monday that its unit in Indonesia has launched two new-generation vehicles in commercial segment in that country. 

PT Tata Motors Distribusi Indonesia (TMDI), a Tata Motors unit, has launched Tata Xenon XT D-Cab 4x4 pick-up and Tata Ultra 1012 light truck, at the recently held 24th Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2016.

Both the commercial vehicles have been designed keeping in mind the requirements of the Indonesian customers and have been through a rigorous process of trials of over 25,000 km, across different terrains and operating conditions, the company said in a release. 

Speaking on the occasion, Ravi Pisharody, Executive Director, Commercial Vehicles, Tata Motors, said, “It gives us immense pleasure to launch two new generation Tata Motors commercial vehicles here at the GIIAS 2016, including the Tata ULTRA light truck and Tata XENON pick-up.”

“The two commercial vehicles have been developed for the modern consumers, with high performance, high load carrying capacity, world-class cabins, and flexible body-load configurations,” Pisharody said.

Aimed to further increase our presence in Indonesia, with these new generation vehicles we are committed to bring the modern global technology to the market of commercial vehicles in Indonesia, he added.

India's biggest automobile company, Tata Motors has witnessed consolidated revenues of Rs.2,75,561 crore in the fiscal of 2015-16. Through its associate companies and subsidiaries, the automobile major has operations in the UK, Indonesia Thailand, South Korea and South Africa.
